Your 5-hour Chiang Mai food tour starts out in the morning with pickup from hotels located within a 3-mile (5-km) radius of Tapae Gate. Set off with your guide and a small group limited to 12 participants.

You'll get a literal taste for this northern Thai town with a visit to Warorot Market, where you'll find high-quality goods. Grab a light breakfast and explore the stalls brimming with produce, clothing, and flowers, then sample some local snacks and fresh fruit. From here, catch a songthaew (truck taxi) to Wua Lai Road for a visit with the traditional silversmiths of Wat Sri Suphan.

Strolling back to the old city moat, pause for a coffee break in the garden of a local art center — this little oasis is a hidden gem of Chiang Mai. Then continue on foot to Wat Chedi Luang and view the giant pagoda and Chiang Mai city pillar.

After a walk to the Three Kings Monument, have lunch at a beloved restaurant. Dig into authentic Thai dishes like khao soi (a soup-like curry with crispy egg noodles), lim lao ngownoodles, saad noodles, and khao man gai (chicken with rice). Finish with a dessert of coconut ice cream or some other sweets unique to Chiang Mai.
